“The Island satirises the London-centric view of the English capital and its commuter towns as independent from the rest of the country.”

‘The techniques of representation are never neutral and architecture’s abstract means of imagining and realizing form leave their traces on the work. To understand representation as technique (in Foucault’s broader sense of techne) is therefore to pay attention to the paradoxical character of a discipline that operates to organize and transform material reality, but must do so at a distance, and through highly abstract means.’

FM Radio Map plots the different locations of FM commercial and pirate radio stations by connecting only the stations that can be received in that location. This is done by drawing power lines in pencil on the back of the map, which conducts electricity from the radio to the front of the poster.
